WER

Our most energy efficient windows have been certified by the British Fenestration Rating Council according to their Window Energy Ratings scheme (WER) and are available in C or A rated units. The BFRC Rating method is a scientifically rigorous method which encompasses all of the relevant factors in the energy efficiency of a window including thermal transmittance (U value), solar factor and effective air leakage. WER uses a consumer-friendly A-E ratings guide similar to that used for white goods and other energy schemes. This rating determines how well a window;
  • Conserves heat
  • Minimises air leakage to keep out the draughts
  • Uses heat from the sun to achieve solar gain
  • Resists condensation
  • Insulates against outside noise
A Rated

Our A rated energy efficient windows are manufactured using the latest technology in glass and &S216;warm edge&S217; spacer units in order to maximise their thermal performance. This not only ensures heat generated within the home is reflected back into the room but also traps free heat from the sun through solar gain.
Windows that achieve a BFRC rating of A or B can be certified under the Energy Saving Trust&S217;s Recommended Scheme. Upgrading to our A rated windows will reduce your carbon footprint and your energy bills.
